Kimberly Loo, Director of Honolulu Zouk, has over twenty years of training in ballet and a BA in dance, but Kimberly's unquenchable zest when social dancing and a passion for performance led to a pursuit of Zouk, Salsa and other Latin dances on the highest levels, leading to two national championships and a thirst for choreographing uplifting performances.

She has taught and performed Latin dance in Honolulu, Big Island, California, Texas, Japan, Morocco, Mexico, and India. Prior to Honolulu Zouk, she directed Epica Latin Dance Co as the reigning Salsa Champion of Hawaii. She previously directed the Nazca Dolls, a ladies styling group in Okinawa, Japan.

In Hawaii, Kimberly's versatility in dance has led to professional performances in multiple styles with Sininho Samba, The Aphrodisiacs, Pretty Peacock Productions, Showtime Entertainment, Dancers Unlimited, Hawaii Tropicana, and the nightly "Legends in Concert: Waikiki."

Beginning with ballet in the Royal Academy of Dance style under Jennifer Bell-Grey at Kauai Dance Center, Kimberly has danced intensively under Victoria Koenig of Inland Pacific Ballet, Claremont Ballroom, Ballet Hawaii, West Hawaii Dance Theatre & Academy Michelle Cole, Mary Houar, Iolani Dancers, and Drill Team Hawaii in Salsa, Bachata, Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lindy Hop, Swing, International Style Ballroom, Burlesque, and most recently, Brazilian Zouk. 

On the competition side, Kimberly's has won two national championships in ballroom dance and the Hawaii salsa championship. Trophies include the Hawaii Salsa Championship, World Latin Dance Cup On2 Semifinalist, Texas Salsa Openn 1st Runner Up,Two Time USABDA National Ballroom Dance Championship with the Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company Formation Team at the Ohio Star Ball Championships, and Claremont Dance Festival Open Jack & Jill Champion.

Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Pomona College, along with degrees in English Literature and Anthropology. In her nondance life, Kimberly is the owner of Magnetic Moments and works a 9 to 5 doing accounting.
